This is the registration page for 78ers softball for girls who turn 7 between January 1, 2010 and April 30, 2010. If the player's birthday does not fall within this four-month window, then please return to the main softball registration page and drill down to the general 78ers registration page.
78ers softball is a non-competitive introduction to girls softball. It is machine pitch with no scoring or standings. Each girl will be bat every inning, play an equal amount, and rotate positions as appropriate.
Practices start in early to mid-March and each team will be assigned two practice times: one during the week and one on Saturday. Once the season begins, there are generally two games per week and each game is limited to 1-1/2 hours or three innings. While it is up to the individual teams, there are generally no practices once the games start. Teams are generally formed by the coach but the league will assign any players who sign up without a specific team. This will be done to balance the number of girls on each team.
Rob McCullough Scholarships are available to players requiring financial assistance. If you will be requesting a scholarship, please complete the registration process. When you reach the payments page simply click the Pay in Person button. Please contact NESLL (by phone or email) or a NESLL board member for more information. Parents of scholarship recipients are requested to volunteer for NESLL functions.
Family Plan: $250 maximum out-of-pocket. If you are registering players whose total combined fees exceed $250, then you qualify for NESLL's Family Plan.
