NESLL Winter Workout Sessions - January 2012
Back by popular demand, Northeast Seattle Little League is happy to announce Winter Workout 2012 with UW Baseball! Dust off your glove and polish up your skills before tryouts! These 2-hour intense skill sessions will be hosted by Coach Jordon Twohig, assistant coach for University of Washington Baseball. There are two separate sessions. Players can attend one or both sessions. Only 50 spots available per session! Register online here.
Ages: 9 - 12 (as of August 31, 2012)
Dates: January 15th or January 29th - 4:00-6:00pm
Location: Dempsey Indoor Center
Cost: $45 per session
Baseball Positive Winter Skills Training – January-February 2012
Baseball Positive is offering a series of winter training sessions in batting (baseball/softball), pitching, and basic skills (for younger players). Mark Linden, Director of Baseball Positive, is an expert in age appropriate training for Little League players and has received accolades from parents and coaches from around the area for his effectiveness in developing the talent of young players. Mark is a former NCAA Div-I Head Coach and a NESLL alum who has trained the NESLL’s coaches and players the past four years. Most classes have a 3:1 or 4:1 coach to player ratio. Ages: 6 - 12
Dates: Wednesdays, January 11th thru February 15th (six (6) 1-hour sessions)
Location: Magnuson Indoor Facility (6310 NE 74th Street, Seattle, WA 98115)
Cost: $105 - $145 (depending on class)
Baseball Season Preparation Clinic - January 2012
North Seattle Batting Cages is pleased to offer you or your player a clinic which will have them ready for the upcoming season. Two of our instructors (Travis Kane and Bryan Pomper) have created an action packed 2 hour 3 day clinic for youths that desire to improve their game and get ready for the new season. Dates: January 16th, 23rd & 30th - 5:00-7:00pm (8-10 year olds), 7:00-9:00pm (11-13 year olds)
Location: North Seattle Batting Cages (8512 20th Avenue NE, Seattle, WA 98115)
Cost: $185 for three (3) 2-hour sessions

Kyle Boddy:
Kyle Boddy is the only coach in the Pacific Northwest that utilizes high-speed video to analyze pitchers for both injury concerns and performance improvements. Formerly a head coach at Roosevelt High School, his research-backed philosophies have helped many high school players make the jump to college baseball. Kyle has taken and passed the National Pitching Association's pitching mechanics test and is a certified personal trainer. Website: www.drivelinebaseball.com

Travis Kane:
Specialty: Pitching Instruction
Background: 5 years of professional baseball experience, 7 years of experience in coaching and pitching instruction.
Lessons focus on:
-building proper mechanics (leading to better velocity, better control, and preventing arm injury),
-building mental toughness (pitching in the present moment),
-how to field your position (bunt coverage, covering bases, and holding runners on)
Mark Linden:
Training for Little League teams and coaches: practice structure, effective team play, and drills and skills presented in an easy to follow, age appropriate format. Mark Linden, Director of Baseball Positive is a former NCAA Div-I Head Coach, professional player in the Cubs organization, and a NESLL alum who has trained NESLL’s coaches and players the past four years. Todd Linden:
Five years in the Major Leagues. Switch hitting power hitter played at UW and LSU, where he was drafted in the 1st Round by the San Francisco Giants. Provides hitting instruction; expertly translates the complexities of the swing to the youth level. Younger brother of Mark Linden, Todd also works with Baseball Positive. Andre Marshall:
Hey, I'm Andre Marshall. I have been a professional hitting instructor and fitness trainer for over 9 years! I played at the University of Washington and was drafted twice first time by the Oakland Athletics and the second time in which I signed, by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 13th round in 2001. Over the next 10 years I played 7 years (due to injury and rehabilitation in PIL leagues which are semi pro) of professional baseball for the Phillies and a few other independent teams. Ron Queen has been providing pitching and hitting lessons in the Seattle area over the last 10 years. Ron specializes in correct pitching biomechanics to reduce the chances of arm injury and hip rotation to maximize velocity and swing.
